Essendon has made a further list change, delisting father-son recruitย Tom Wallis.

Wallis is the son of two-time Essendon premiership player, Dean.

The club informed Wallis earlier today that he will not be offered new contract for 2017.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who was selected with pick 54 in the 2015 Rookie Draft, did not play a senior games for the Bombers.

โ€œWe have faced challenging decisions with our list management and competition for spots is very tough,โ€ general manager of football Rob Kerr said.

โ€œTom is a great young player who we invested time in his development via our โ€˜James Hird Academyโ€™ and saw him make an impact throughout the 2016 VFL season.

โ€œWe hope he continues to develop his game as he works towards reaching his football potential.

โ€œOn behalf of everyone at the Club we wish Tom all the very best for his future.โ€
