Essendon forward Jye Menzie has put pen to paper on a Tullamarine contract extension.
The 20-year-old joined the Bombers at last year's Mid-Season Draft, quickly ingratiating himself in Essendon's forward line and making a considerable impact.
The South Adelaide product managed 21 senior games throughout the 2023 campaign, booting an impressive 23 goals.
Menzie expressed his excitement at remaining in Bombers colours next year.
"I couldn't be happier to sign on for 2024. The growth in this group in just one year is so exciting and I think we have only scratched the surface with what we can achieve," Menzie said on Thursday.
"The talent we have is capable to take it up to the best and I can't wait to get into the club again with the boys and grind away at another pre-season.
"We made good inroads this year, but I can see we are onto bigger and better things next season, and I'm pumped to be a part of that."
Essendon list boss Adrian Dodoro praised Menzie's impact on the Bombers since arriving at the Hangar, noting his work ethic.
"Jye has had a strong impact on this club in a short period and to play 21 games in his second year of footy is credit to his work ethic and ability," Dodoro said.
"We look forward to seeing him continue to develop and get better and stamp himself in our forward line."
