Essendon has agreed to mutually part ways with physical performance manager, Justin Crow, with Crow looking at his options in football and other sports. He will leave the club at season's end.

Having been at the Bombers for nine seasons, he has played a number of roles in the backroom staff ensuring the players are good shape and fit to play AFL. Speaking on Tuesday, Crow talked about his time and admiration for the club.

“Coming to the end of my ninth season at Essendon, I believe that now is the right time for me to find my next challenge,” Crow told the club's website.

“In my time at Essendon I am proud of how we steered this group of players through challenging times, the investment we have made into the women’s football program and also the growth and development of those players who have shared this journey with me.

“I would like to thank the whole club for their support of me over the preceding years.”

General manager of football Dan Richardson spoke of Crow's impact on the football club and proceeded to thank the former employee, wishing him the best for his future.

“Justin has had a tremendous impact on our football club, and has led a very dedicated high-performance team during his tenure at the club, particularly through some challenging circumstances,” Richardson said.

“He is a man of integrity and high values, and has made a fantastic contribution to the club in his time here. We wish Justin and his family the very best for their future endeavours.”

Crow's departure is the third in as many weeks with Blake Caracella being announced as a new senior assistant coach at Essendon just one week ago.

The Bombers still sit in the finals positions after two horror showings after significant losses to the Dogs and the Power that has killed their percentage.

Essendon will qualify for the finals with a single win in their last two games but playing Fremantle away and then Collingwood at the MCG won't be an easy task.
