Essendon have signed three players to their VFL list for 2025, with Tyler Sellers, Domanic Akuei and Dayten Uerata to take to the field in the red and black next year.

Sellers has spent the last two years of his career with North Melbourne on both their VFL and AFL lists, with the most recent season seeing him play two games at senior level.

Sellers managed 31 games at VFL level and kicked 61 goals during his time at Arden Street, with his tenure culminating in a second-place finish in this year's best and fairest count.

The 193cm 22-year-old key forward has spent time training with the Bombers' senior squad during his first few weeks at the club.

Akuei finds himself at Essendon from Carlton after spending three years with the Blues on their list as a category B rookie.

Akuei played as a defender for the majority of his 51 games in the VFL but has the ability to swing forward or play in the ruck due to his impressive leaping ability.

The 22-year-old moved to Australia from Sudan when he was young and has since shown quick development at the highest level of the game.

Uerata has also signed with the Bombers and he may already be known to avid Bombers fans after making his debut for the VFL squad during this year's Dreamtime match against the Tigers.

He showcased his potential in the Talent League for most of 2024 where he captained the Bendigo Pioneers for 13 games.

Standing at 185cm, Uerata has the ability to play both as a medium-sized forward and a midfielder and at 19 years old has plenty of promise.

The Bombers are three weeks into their pre-season training program, with the 2025 VFL fixture yet to be confirmed.
