Port Adelaide can be expected to challenge for the premiership again next year after failing to fire come the 2023 finals series that followed their dominant home and away campaign.
2024 will be a year of optimism at Alberton following a strong season for the Power, with the off-season seeing the club's backline bolstered while their young midfield core will continue on an exciting trajectory.
Ken Hinkley's front third will also be buoyed by its prominent stock of tall forwards, particularly with emerging attacker Mitch Georgiades looking to return from an ACL injury that riddled his 2023 campaign.
Port Adelaide added two rucks to their roster through the trade period, with both talls set to compete for the first-string role.
With a suite of changes through the off-season, here's how Port Adelaide could line-up in 2024...
BEST 23s: ADELAIDE, BRISBANE, CARLTON, COLLINGWOOD, ESSENDON, FREMANTLE, GEELONG, GOLD COAST, GWS, HAWTHORN, MELBOURNE, NORTH MELBOURNE
2. Midfielders
The Power are stacked in the engine room that boasts a balance of young stars and senior ball winners.
Zak Butters and Connor Rozee lead the charge through the middle, both earning All-Australian selections this year, with Brownlow Medal winner Ollie Wines often used as the third onballer.
The hard-hitting Willem Drew brings a steady defensive edge to the group, while former No.1 pick Jason Horne-Francis could easily join the echelon that includes Butters and Rozee in the coming years.
Club great Travis Boak is likely to take a back seat in 2024 and could again be best utilised as the sub in providing some fresh legs later into the contest.
Defenders Miles Bergman, Kane Farrell and Dan Houston can all push up onto the wing or run through the middle as utility options, while Darcy Byrne-Jones is likely to split his time across all thirds of the field.
Youngster Josh Sinn will be hoping for an uninterrupted third season with the club as he looks to continue to hone his craft as an explosive ball-winner.
Former Tiger Ivan Soldo will be expected to start as the leading ruckman for the Power, but don't discount Jordon Sweet as a challenger for the role to start the new season. Youngster Dante Visentini got a look at AFL football this year but is likely to require more time developing before being thrust into senior action again.
