Port Adelaide can be expected to challenge for the premiership again next year after failing to fire come the 2023 finals series that followed their dominant home and away campaign.

2024 will be a year of optimism at Alberton following a strong season for the Power, with the off-season seeing the club's backline bolstered while their young midfield core will continue on an exciting trajectory.

Ken Hinkley's front third will also be buoyed by its prominent stock of tall forwards, particularly with emerging attacker Mitch Georgiades looking to return from an ACL injury that riddled his 2023 campaign.

Port Adelaide added two rucks to their roster through the trade period, with both talls set to compete for the first-string role.

With a suite of changes through the off-season, here's how Port Adelaide could line-up in 2024...

Port Adelaide aren't short on tall options for their attacking plans, with the returning Mitch Georgiades set to add to a stacked cohort of key forwards.

Georgiades wasn't part of Hinkley's best side when he sustained his season-ending knee injury, with veteran pair Charlie Dixon and Jeremy Finlayson joined by Todd Marshall in earning favouritism.

Injuries to all three opened the door for young Ollie Lord to earn a number of opportunities, with a four-goal outing against Brisbane in the qualifying final at the Gabba giving Hinkley plenty to consider going forward.

Marshall will again spearhead the Power's attack as Dixon and Finlayson look to stay fit also, with Georgiades and Lord to be knocking on the door at selection to give Port Adelaide's selection committee a helpful headache.

Junior Rioli will be called on as the high-volume small forward in the front third, while big-bodied brute Sam Powell-Pepper provides plenty of pressure in attack.

Jed McEntee enjoyed a strong 2023 season and will continue to grow next year while competing with the likes of Francis Evans and Quinton Narkle for one of the small forward spots.
