6. (6th) Port Adelaide
For the first half of 2024, Port Adelaide was one of the highest-scoring teams in the competition.
However, the Power lost their attacking mojo in the latter half of the season, scoring an average of 12 goals per game from their final ten matches, including hitting the 100-point mark just twice after Round 17. In comparison, the Power scored over triple figures four times in their first ten matches, including three times within the first four rounds.
The Power ultimately ranked eighth for points per game in 2024, but the Alberton side stormed through to a preliminary final nonetheless, off the back of their rising young talent.
Six players kicked over 20 goals in 2024, including a 44-goal season from 23-year-old Mitch Georgiades, 33 via Willie Rioli and 28 from Darcy Byrne-Jones. Add in hybrid forward-midfielder Jason Horne-Francis, who snagged 27, and it's clear why when Port Adelaide is on song their attack is so destructive.
Despite the devastating injury news for Todd Marshall, Port Adelaide has a load of firepower inside 50, and with a consistent season, the Power could become the league's most dangerous offensive side.
