Zero Hanger's final rankings of every AFL team's midfield are here, revealing the top six clubs in the competition.
Each club listed has an abundance of talent across all positions in the centre square, with game-breaking stars who can lift their team to victory when the moment calls as well as role players who play their part to perfection.
In the toughest rankings yet, we've undertaken the challenge of ordering the league's best midfield groups sixth through first.

So who should your club be afraid of seeing at the first bounce this season? Here are Zero Hanger's top midfield sides in the AFL...
6. (6th) Port Adelaide
The Power have tons of depth in all aspects of the midfield.
Immediately Jason Horne-Francis, Connor Rozee and Zak Butters are eye-catching names on paper, with their ability to win the clearance, rack up possessions and hit the scoreboard consistently.
Add in older talent who a decade ago were considered what the aforementioned trio are now, with Brownlow medallist Ollie Wines and loyal former skipper Travis Boak able to rotate through the middle.
Willem Drew has forged a position at the centre bounce too, while Jase Burgoyne, Will Lorenz and Kane Farrell can sit on the wings.
Ivan Soldo and Jordon Sweet will do battle for the main ruck gig, with Sweet surging late in the year to claim the position and dominate the semi-final against Hawthorn. Despite only playing eight games, Soldo averaged career-highs in hitouts in 2024 indicating that the Power have viable options in both tall products.
Port Adelaide ranked seventh for clearances per game and fifth for inside 50s, demonstrating they are teetering on the edge of becoming one of the elite midfield groups in the competition.
