We are now 16 Round into a 2021 season that has produced plenty of surprises and upsets.
Whilst several teams have shot their way up the ladder, we want to look at the players who have been driving this success.

Brisbane
Brandon Starcevich
There are plenty of candidates in this young Lions team.
Lincoln McCarthy has slowly become a crucial piece to Brisbane's AFL finals chances and is having, arguably, a career-best year. Zac Bailey is developing into a star, while Oscar McInerney has been excellent since taking on sole ruck duties.
But it's progress of young defender Brandon Starcevich which has been most impressive.
At 21-years-of-age, Starcevich has become one of the leagues premier lockdown defenders, trusted with beating the games best small and medium sized forwards.
