We are now 16 Round into a 2021 season that has produced plenty of surprises and upsets.
Whilst several teams have shot their way up the ladder, we want to look at the players who have been driving this success.
Now that we have a big enough body of work, it's time to laud the performances of the players who have been each club's biggest improvers.
As always, let us know who we have overrated and who we have snubbed.
Collingwood
Jack Crisp
There hasn't been a lot to like from a team that has fallen off dramatically in 2021.
Isaac Quaynor, Josh Daicos and John Noble have all shown improvements, albeit modest.
Since being used of the half-back line, Chris Mayne has shown he can still add value at AFL level. The 32-year-old veteran has shocked many by averaging career highs for disposals and marks this year.

But it's Jack Crisp who has quietly become Collingwood's most consistent and reliable contributor.
In the absence of guns Adam Treloar (traded) and Taylor Adams (injury), the former Lion has stepped up to anchor a broken Pies midfield.
Averaging career-highs in disposals, marks, inside-50's and rebound-50s, the 27-year-old is staring down a maiden best-and-fairest.
