Underrated is a term that comes up a lot to describe sporting athletes, particularly in football.
Some players are underrated from a league perspective in that they don't get as much love as some of the other stars. While others are underrated from a club perspective because of their importance to the team in playing a specific role that may not yield massive numbers.

Jack Steele
Steele is the name at St Kilda that goes unnoticed and arguably plays the most important role for the team. Steele is the Saints' main tagger consistently shuts down some of the league's best midfielders, while winning a lot of the ball himself the other way. The 24-year old deserves more recognition for the way he plays the game and if he continues on this trajectory, will command it soon.
