Underrated is a term that comes up a lot to describe sporting athletes, particularly in football.

Some players are underrated from a league perspective in that they don't get as much love as some of the other stars. While others are underrated from a club perspective because of their importance to the team in playing a specific role that may not yield massive numbers.

Collingwood

Jack Crisp

Crisp could make a case as easily being the most underrated player around the league, and it's not hard to see why. The famous 'steak knives' Collingwood received in the 2014 Dayne Beams trade, he plays his defensive role to perfection while racking up big numbers in the process.

He just consistently gets it done week in and week out and doesn't get as much recognition for doing so because of the other stars in the team such as Brodie Grundy, Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom.

It's time for everyone to start realising just how good this guy is, as Crisp should have been much more involved in All Australian discussion over the last couple of seasons.
