Geelong

Matthew Stokes

At his very best, Stokes was a game-changer for the Cats when it mattered most.

Despite the likes of Ablett, Bartel and Johnson running the show, the Larrakia jet would offer Geelong a mercurial role between the midfield and forward, standing as a solid contributor in one of this century's greatest sides.

Stokes averaged close to 20 disposals per game for his entire career, peaking with 26.38 in the 2013 season, a campaign where he also averaged 2.7 tackles, 3.7 inside 50's and 2.4 clearances.

After a short stint with the Bombers as a top-up player, Stokes ended his career with 200 games, 209 goals and two premierships to his name.
