Collingwood's best season was in 2010, when the side broke its 20 year drought and won the premiership. Led by Nick Maxwell, the Pies played in a drawn Grand final and then went on the next week to win the replay as current captain, Scott Pendlebury, won the Norm Smith.
The Pies broke a four-year drought of not playing finals this year and made it all the way to the grand final. Nathan Buckley has come under criticism since being appointed coach in 2012, but his side played excellent footy in 2018.
The side boasts arguable the best midfield with Dane Swan, Scott Pendlebury, Brodie Grundy, Steele Sidebottom, Adam Treloar, Luke Ball and Dayne Beams.
The rest of the side contains of number of exciting players such as Leon Davis, Jeremy Howe, Alan Didak and Jamie Elliott, who are capable of big marks and impossible goals.
