The VFL has unveiled a 43-player squad for its state team that will battle with a representative SANFL side in the Barossa next month.
The two leagues will clash at Tanunda Recreation Reserve as part of the Gather Round schedule, with the South Australians looking to make it two wins in as many years.
The VFL squad, which will be led by Box Hill coach Zane Littlejohn, sees 18 of the 21 clubs represented, with reigning grand finalists Southport leading the way with five selections.
Jacob Dawson, Brayden Crossley, Boyd Woodcock, Jacob Heron and Hugh Dixon will represent the Sharks, with Dixon one of eight players who have a chance to represent the VFL for the second year in a row.
Littlejohn's Hawks have four players selected in the squad, which ties with standalone clubs Port Melbourne, Frankston and Williamstown, while 2024 premiers Werribee have three players picked.
This year's squad includes a list of 30 formerly listed AFL players, with Sam Durdin, Ethan Stanley, Harry Arnold, Ethan Phillips, Riley Bonner, Mitch Hardie, Jack Bytel, Curtis Taylor, Will Hamill, Nathan Kreuger, James Tsitas, Darcy MacPherson and Charlie Lazzaro joining the VFL this year straight out of the top flight.
The VFL will still be able to add to the squad closer to the April 12 showcase game, while AFL-listed players are not eligible for selection.
