Former Collingwood and Adelaide midfielder Tyler Brown has returned to Victoria, signing with VFL outfit Box Hill for the 2024 season.
Brown, who joins his older brother Callum at the Hawks, makes the move to Middleborough Road after a year in South Australia with the Crows.
The 24-year-old joined Adelaide as a Supplemental Selection Period list addition ahead of the 2023 season after spending the previous five years with Collingwood.
Brown joined the Magpies as a father-son selection through the 2017 National Draft, following in the footsteps of his father Gavin - a premiership player and Team of the Century member at Collingwood.
A tall midfielder, Brown played 27 games in the black and white before being delisted by the Magpies alongside his brother at the end of last year.
While Callum made the immediate move to the Hawks, Tyler was in line to join fellow VFL club Footscray prior to earning a training chance at West Lakes.
Following a short stint under Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks, Brown secured a one-year deal with the Crows for 2023. After playing one game at AFL level for the season, Brown was not offered an extension with the Crows beyond this year.
The former two-club midfielder has now reunited with his brother, signing with Box Hill for 2024.
"Keen to join the Box Hill footy club," Brown said in a club post.
"They've always been tough opponents. Excited to be playing with my brother again and can't wait to get into 2024."
Brown joins 2022 Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal winner Ethan Phillips in joining the Hawks for next season.
Box Hill amassed a third-place finish in the VFL this year before bowing out in a preliminary final to eventual premiers Gold Coast.
