Delisted Fremantle forward Tom Emmett has signed with former club Sturt for the 2025 season after being cut from the Dockers list last month.

Emmett was selected with pick 41 in the 2022 National Draft and played 15 games across two seasons for the Dockers, mostly as a medium forward.

With 13 AFL appearances in a consistent 2024 campaign, Emmett can consider himself unlucky not to retain his place on the list.

The 186cm mobile forward also played 28 WAFL games with Peel Thunder, including the recent premiership triumph against East Perth.

Showing his ability to work hard up the ground, Emmett kicked nine goals and averaged 13 disposals and four marks from his 11 WAFL games this year.

Originally from Payneham Norwood Union in Adelaide's east, Emmett played 14 league games for the Double Blues in an impressive 2022 season that caught the eye of recruiters.

Emmett joins Martin Frederick and Mitch Crowden in returning to the Double Blues from the WAFL for 2025, while Guy Page, Steven Slimming, Liam Puncher and Charlie Molan are among those to have departed over the off-season.
