Adelaide veteran recruit Sam Gibson has made a brilliant first impression at his new club, winning the Crows' 2km time trial on Monday.
Gibson, who was cut by North Melbourne at the end of last season, took out the trial ahead of Jake Kelly and Rory Sloane.
The 31-year-old, know for his running ability at North Melbourne, played 130 consecutive games for the Roos after making his debut, before being informed he was no longer required at Arden Street.
He then joined Adelaide via a trade in exchange for pick No.91 to further bolster the Crows' midfielder depth, after also recruiting Bryce Gibbs from Carlton.
"We've got a pretty strong midfield already at the moment and both those guys play through there, so they will add plenty, and it's only going to help our depth and training standards and those things that go with it," veteran onballer Richard Douglas said.
"They'll both be great assets for our footy club and help us become a better team."
