Brisbane coach Chris Fagan confirmed the club is keen to sign Joe Daniher in the free agency period.

Speaking after Brisbane's humbling 40-point loss to Geelong last night, Fagan revealed the Lions are keen to bolster their forward prospects with Daniher next season.

โ€œWe are obviously pretty keen to get Joe Daniher to our club,โ€ Fagan confirmed post-game.

โ€œWe think he can help. We are already in the business of improving for next year, so we wonโ€˜t let the grass grow under our feet.โ€

A deal would likely see Essendon receive a late first-round compensation pick.

But the Bombers could match potential deal and force a trade to receive a higher pick.

Daniher has played 15 games and kicked 18 goals in the last three years.
