Former Carlton and Brisbane Lions forward Brendan Fevola will be making his return to Channel 9’s Thursday night’s program The Footy Show in 2018.

The two-time Coleman medalist who played 204 games throughout his career, returns to the show after a regretful Brownlow night which saw him evicted from Crown Casino at 3am in 2009.

After his axing from the show for his behaviour during The Footy Show’s segment ‘Street Talk’ at the Brownlow, Fevola has since entered the entertainment industry, hosting a morning breakfast show and appearing on Channel 7’s Game Day.

In a bid to resurrect his public image, Fevola has also appeared and won the reality TV show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

“Fev is about to complete his resurrection,” three-time Essendon premiership player Tim Watson told SEN Breakfast.

“He is about to be added to The Footy Show. He will be one of their major signings, and he will be on as one of the regulars of the show.”

With the footy show being plagued by the Garry Lyon and Billy Brownless saga last year, with the addition of Eddie McGuire mid-season and the problematic Sam Newman creating headlines almost every week, the 25th anniversary season of the footy show is shaping to be a make or break season for the long running program.

Alongside the announcement in October that Dave Hughes will be departing the show, it is widely tipped that there will be further shakeup of the show in coming weeks.
