Scans have today confirmed that Collingwood defender Lynden Dunn has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
The worst was confirmed for Dunn, after twisting his knee during the third quarter of Thursday’s VFL practice match against Richmond.
The scratch match was Dunn’s return to the field after injuring the same knee in the Collingwood’s Round 15 clash with Gold Coast last year.
“We’re very disappointed for Lynden, who has been so meticulous in his approach to his rehabilitation and training since his first ACL injury last year,” Collingwood GM of Football, Geoff Walsh told collingwoodfc.com.au.
“Lynden will have surgery next week and begin the recovery process with the entire Collingwood family behind him.”
