Former Western Bulldogs midfielder Robbie McComb has found a new home for the 2025 season, joining Southern Football League outfit the Port Melbourne Colts for next year.

McComb played 18 games across two seasons with the Bulldogs after earning a promotion at the Kennel shortly after a stellar 2021 season at VFL level with Footscray.

The 28-year-old was delisted last year and returned to the VFL with Port Melbourne, with the onballer featuring in 10 games for the Borough in 2024.

McComb is now set to feature at the local level next year, joining twin brother Luke at the Colts following his one-year stint with the Borough at the state league level.

"We are excited to announce the bolstering of our midfield ranks with the acquisition of 28-year-old Robbie McComb for the 2025 season," a club post read.

"Robbie brings a wealth of experience, having spent four seasons with Footscray's VFL side where he earned their Best and Fairest Award and was named a midfielder in the VFL Team of the Year in 2021.

"After an outstanding season, Robbie was picked up by the Western Bulldogs with the 21st pick in the 2021 AFL Rookie Draft. He made his AFL debut in Round 6 of 2022 against the Adelaide Crows and played 18 AFL games before signing with the Borough for the 2024 season."

Port Melbourne finished seventh in Division 1 of the SFNL this year, winning eight of their 18 home and away season games.

The Colts featured Brownlow Medal winner Dane Swans as well as former Essendon duo Tom Bellchambers and Michael Hibberd, the latter being a member of Melbourne 2021 premiership side.
