Former Collingwood midfielder Trent Bianco has joined the Box Hill Hawks for the 2025 VFL season.
The 23-year-old was delisted by Collingwood at the end of the 2023 season, after playing just one game in their premiership-winning year. Joining the club through Pick 45 at the 2019 National Draft, Bianco played 12 and 10 games across 2021 and 2022 after failing to debut in 2020.
Bianco most recently played for opposing VFL side Footscray this season, averaging 18.8 disposals and kicking 19 goals from 18 appearances.
Bianco will join former teammate Tyler Brown in brown and gold in 2025, and potentially his brother Callum, whose re-signing is yet to be announced. Both Brown brothers were delisted at the Pies in 2022 and played at Box Hill in 2024.
Box Hill's AFL affiliation with Hawthorn means Bianco will also be in close quarters with another former teammate, Jack Ginnivan, who too departed Collingwood at the end of 2023.

With Bianco still striving to earn a second chance at living out his AFL dream, Box Hill suits as a strong choice to make his talents known. Former Box Hill Hawk Maxy Hall was selected by St Kilda in 2024's mid-season draft, while Ethan Phillips and Fergus Greene are two recent players who were selected by Hawthorn following strong seasons at VFL level.
Bianco's Bulldogs bowed out in the VFL's preliminary finals to Southport after an emphatic season saw them finish second on the ladder. The Hawks finished slightly lower in sixth, losing to Williamstown in the elimination final.
