Delisted Port Adelaide forward Thomas Scully has returned to his old SANFL club, West Adelaide, for the 2025 season.

Scully was not offered a new deal by the Power after two seasons at Alberton, with the local 203cm key forward joining the club as the 53rd pick in the 2022 National Draft.

The 19-year-old did not feature at AFL level across his pair of seasons on Port Adelaide's list, instead featuring for the club's SANFL side on 37 occasions.

Scully kicked 20 goals from 18 games for the Magpies in 2024 while averaging 8.0 disposals and 2.8 marks per game. He would manage an eight-placed finish in the club's best and fairest count.

Since leaving the Power, Scully has decided to return to his old club, signing with the Bloods for the coming SANFL season.

"I'm very happy to be back with the Westies family," Scully said in a club statement.

"It's such a young and exciting group, and l can't wait to see what we can do in season 2025."

Scully is West Adelaide's fourth signing for next season, following the acquisitions of

Logan Austin (Bairnsdale/Port Adelaide), Jonti Schuback (South Adelaide) and Caleb May (South West Sydney).

"Tom will provide us with great versatility in the front half. He's 204cm, he can play deep, and he can play higher up the ground," West Adelaide coach Adam Hartlett said.

"Has great goal sense and is a big competitor who always wants to beat his opponent."

West Adelaide amassed an eight-placed finish in the SANFL this year, recording five wins from their 18 games after four successive seasons of finishing last.
