Former Richmond and Fremantle player Reece Conca joins GDFL club Bannockburn

The 30-year-old is set to pull the yellow and black back on.

Former Richmond and Fremantle midfielder Reece Conca is set to step onto the local football scene in Victoria, joining Geelong and District Football League club Bannockburn for 2023.

Conca, who last played at the AFL level in 2020, brings with him 150 games and over a decade of top-flight experience to the Tigers, who claimed the premiership in the GDFL this year.

"Bannockburn Football Netball Club are extremely excited to announce the signing of Reece Conca to Tigerland," a club statement reads.

"Reece comes to the club after a stellar career in the AFL, having played 150 games with the Richmond and Fremantle Football clubs and is currently the players development manager at the Melbourne Demons.

"Reece will bring with him a wealth of experience and knowledge, which he is eager to share with our younger playing group.

The 30-year-old was drafted to Richmond as the sixth overall selection in the 2010 National Draft and would play 104 games in the yellow and black before departing for the Dockers ahead of the 2019 season.

Conca joined Melbourne ahead of the 2022 season as a player development manager.
