Former three-club AFL forward Stewart Crameri has joined country football side North Ballarat for 2023, reuniting with former senior coach Brendan McCarthy.

Crameri and McCarthy both called Whitten Oval home in 2014 - the former's first season at the Kennel after moving from Essendon.

The now-34-year-old made his AFL debut with the Bombers in 2010 and would play 57 games in the red sash for a return of 96 goals.

Crameri was a three-time leading goalkicker for the Dons, and would add a fourth successive club goalkicking title in his maiden campaign with the Bulldogs.

At the end of 2017, Crameri would make the switch to Geelong, where he managed four games and five goals in his only season with the Cats.

After plying his trade at local level in recent years, Crameri has rejoined McCarthy's ranks, this time in the Ballarat League.

"North Ballarat FNC is very excited to announce the signing of Stewart Crameri for season 2023," a club statement reads.

"We are all very pleased to welcome Stew and his young family to our Club for the upcoming season.

"Coming to us with AFL experience at Essendon, Western Bulldogs & Geelong.

"This is a reunion of sorts, given Stew was coached by Macca as an assistant at Essendon in 2011, & again as a head coach at the Western Bulldogs during 2014.

"Stew is a very big presence and will play a huge role for us in our forward half of the ground! His elite marking ability, goal sense and booming left foot will be an amazing asset for our Senior team this season.

"Stew last played for Maryborough and has had a lay off from footy to focus on his family.

"We are very excited for what's to come this season and Stew is a huge part of that."

Crameri played a total of 103 games at AFL level, booting 171 goals.
