Fremantle's Michael Walters is the final star announced to go down the Big Freeze 6 slide on June 8.ย

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Big Freeze slide will happen for the first time without a packed MCG, normally occurring before the traditional Melbourne-Collingwood Queen's Birthday match.

But the show will go on, with the Big Freeze slide still taking place on the Queen's Birthday three days before the AFL season resumes on June 11.ย

This year, one player from all 18 clubs will go down the Big Freeze slide, with Channel 7 broadcasting the event.

Big Freeze ambassador and AFL great Neale Daniher told The Herald Sunย in May that the Big Freeze slide would look different this year and thanked everyone for their commitment to the cause.

โ€œVulnerable people like me really appreciate the efforts of the community in coming together to try and keep other Australians safe. Itโ€™s amazing what you can do when everyone aligns to a purpose โ€ฆ we appreciate the sacrifices people have had to make and we thank them,โ€ he said.
