Fremantle has made one more change to its playing list, with Alex Silvagni being told his contract wouldn't be extended into 2017.
Silvagni played 53 games for the Dockers across seven seasons, and was rewarded for his efforts in 2014 when he won the Best Clubman Award.
The 29-year-old moved to Fremantle in during the 2009 Rookie Draft and made his debut against Adelaide in Round 1, 2010.
Silvagni played 15 games in his first season and nine the next, but injuries crippled the remainder of his time as a Docker.
General Manager of Football Chris Bond said Silvagni was the type of person you wanted around your club, and will surely be missed.
“Alex came to the club via the rookie list and worked really hard to get elevated to the primary list and play a fair bit of senior footy in his debut season,” Bond said.
“Unfortunately, opportunities for Alex to secure a regular spot in the senior side in subsequent seasons were hampered by injury.
“Throughout that time though, Alex always displayed the many fine attributes that make him the quality person he is, and saw him held in the highest regard by everyone at Fremantle.
“We thank Alex for the contribution he made to the club both on and off the field, and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
