Fremantle tall Griffin Logue has requested a trade to Victoria, with North Melbourne tipped as the leading club to land the Dockers defender, while Blues target Blake Acres has also requested a move.
Logue has long been linked to a Melbourne move, with his contract coming to an end and his place in Justin Longmuir's backline pecking order failing to rise.
The WA product was even utilised as a forward option throughout the back half of the season, with Logue unable to cement a leading role at either end of the field.
With Fremantle also setting money aside for their pursuit of Demon Luke Jackson, Logue isn't alone in looking elsewhere for greater opportunities.
Acres has also requested a move east, with the Blues primed to land the wingman, while Darcy Tucker, who has been linked with the Roos, is seeking opportunities elsewhere.
“Griffin and Blake, were both important players for the Club in 2022 and it’s no surprise they have generated interest from other Clubs,” Dockers football boss Peter Bell said in a club statement.
“They are both out of contract and whilst we are disappointed they are seeking to continue their careers elsewhere, we will work to ensure the Club is fairly compensated.
“In our discussion Griff stated that ‘it was the hardest decision he had ever had to make’ and that he loves the club and his teammates.
“He also communicated that he was very keen to ensure a positive result for all parties through the trade process.”
7 News have reported that ruckman Lloyd Meek has also been granted the power to assess his options for 2023.
Meanwhile, given Rory Lobb's importance and contract status with the Dockers, Fremantle have looked to shut down chances of the tall's trade plans.
Lobb has been linked to the Western Bulldogs this year despite being contracted until the end of the 2024 season.
"Contracted player Rory Lobb also requested a trade but was informed that given his contractual status and his importance to the structure of the team, a trade would not be possible," a club statement reads.
Fremantle duo Lloyd Meek and Liam Henry have also been linked to the exit at Cockburn, however the club have not mentioned the pair in their list management update on Tuesday night.
