Fremantle have re-signed Justin Longmuir to a one-year extension, seeing the previously off-contract coach cemented to his role for a further 12 months at least.
Pressure was expected to mount on Longmuir's shoulder this year given his prior contract status, with the Dockers looking to bounce back from a dissapoting 2023 season.
Last year was arguably the Dockers' worst since Longmuir took over from Ross Lyon, despite amassing seven wins in his first year at the helm in 2020.
Following a 2022 campaign that included a finals win with a young emerging squad, the Dockers recorded just ten wins last year to finish 14th on the ladder.
Entering a new season and without a contract beyond, Longmuir was tipped as one of the most under-pressure mentors in the competition.
Ahead of the club's season opener against Brisbane, the Dockers confirmed a new one-year deal for Longmuir.
"I am grateful for the continuity this brings to the team," Longmuir said in a club statement.

Longmuir has a 41-1-42 record as senior coach of the Dockers.
The new deal leaves Adelaide's Matthew Nicks and Geelong's Chris Scott as the last remaining coaches without contracts for 2025. Scott has reportedly re-signed but the Cats are yet to confirm any call on his future.
