Star Fremantle midfielder Andrew Brayshaw was spotted leaving the training track on multiple occasions during the Dockers' main training session on Wednesday, with a suspected cork concern hampering the onballer.
Brayshaw is coming off his best game of the year in purple, having collected 32 disposals, eight tackles, seven clearances, 14 contested possessions and a goal against the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday.
The 24-year-old collected six votes from the coaches for his efforts in Round 15, with the Dockers' engine room combing nicely to collect the club's eighth win of 2024 and see them rise to fifth on the ladder.
In the wake of Sunday's win, Brayshaw was put through his paces by the Dockers' fitness staff and was forced from the track on two occasions, per CODE's Eliza Reilly.
Reilly revealed on X that Brayshaw was assessed throughout the session and underwent fitness tests, while a cork was spotted on his quad.
The injury concern comes as the Dockers prepare to be without captain Alex Pearce for Saturday's game against premiership favourites Sydney, with an arm injury ruling out the key defender for up to a month.
Tall defender Brennan Cox won't be brought back into the senior side despite overcoming a long-term hamstring injury, with the South Australian to spend another week in the WAFL.
Young stopper Josh Draper is likely to come into the Dockers' side after being dropped for the team to face Gold Coast, with the emerging defender a chance to join Round 15 debutant Hugh Davies alongside veteran Luke Ryan on the last line.
The Dockers will name their 23-man side on Thursday at 6:20pm (AEST) on Thursday, with a final squad to be confirmed an hour prior to Saturday's 1:45pm bounce at the SCG.
