The Greater Western Sydney Giants are the latest club to claim an interest in recently delisted Eagle, Jarrod Brander.
The 22-year-old had previously drawn the eye of Carlton after his 22-game career with West Coast came to an end at the cessation of the 2021 season.
Outspoken pundit, Kane Cornes also suggested that Adelaide should be targetting Brander as a direct replacement for departing veteran, Tom Lynch.
While a move to the Blues could well remain on the cards for the Victorian, SEN's Sam Edmund has suggested the Giants' desire to inject 'ready-made' talent into their team for 2022 could see Brander gain a lifeline in the harbour city.
Given the former first-round draftee's desire to play within the forward 50, a shift to Sydney's west could well prove the perfect landing place.
However, as Brander has only produced 5.10 in front of goal across his four-seasons at senior level, a significant rise would be required should he find a second home.
As the Giants were unsuccessful in chasing offensive talents Rory Lobb and Luke Breust during October's trade period, Brander could well provide Leon Cameron with a consolation prize of sorts.
Ironically, Brander was originally tied to the Giants Academy prior to his drafting in 2017, but he escaped a free-ride to the Showgrounds, as the club's zone was scaled back to exclude his hometown of Mildura.
This reported scouting of the Bendigo Pioneers product comes in the wake of Toby Greene's extended suspension that will see him miss the first five-weeks of next season.
With Greene once again proving the expansion franchise's most potent forward half option with 45-majors, the Giants will have their work cut out for them finding replacements for his average of 2.5 goals per game across 2021.

Edmund suggested that although the league's youngest club are keen to add names to their offensive lineup, they will be doing so on a budget.
Fellow delistees Michael Gibbons, Jay Lockhart, and Ben Cavarra also hold realistic chances of joining the Giants prior to Christmas.
The first delisted free agency period is set to commence on November 3 and cease on November 9.
