Western Bulldogs forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is said to be no certainty of suiting up for the Dogs' season opener in March as he deals with personal matters that have limited his pre-season.

Ugle-Hagan has sporadically been part of the club's program this summer amid their preparations for the 2025 season, with the former No.1 pick absent from sessions in the past few days, per 7 News.

The situation is said to have Ugle-Hagan in some doubt for the Dogs' Round 1 bout with North Melbourne on Saturday, March 15, with his limited action on the track and reported issues outside of football potentially delaying the start of his fifth campaign in the red, white and blue.

The Western Bulldogs are expected to provide an update on Ugle-Hagan's playing future this week as he tries to balance his football commitments with his personal life.

The 22-year-old is coming off a career-best season, having booted 43 goals in 2024 to take out his maiden club leading goalkicker award.

Ugle-Hagan re-signed with the Bulldogs on a two-year deal last May to be signed at Whitten Oval until the end of 2026.

The athletic forward has played 67 AFL games in his career for a return of 103 goals.

The Western Bulldogs are scheduled to face Collingwood, Carlton and Fremantle following their season opener against the Kangaroos.
