The gap between second and third in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award has closed to just six votes, with Carlton captain Patrick Cripps moving one spot off the lead.
Michael Voss and Alastair Clarkson collectively gave Cripps eight votes in Sunday's clash between the Blues and Roos, with Harry Sheezel unanimously voted best afield despite the loss.
With Cripps' total jumping to 86 for the season, the Carlton star now sits six votes behind leader and Sydney gun Isaac Heeney.
Heeney failed to poll a vote over the weekend, while Collingwood ace Nick Daicos followed suit and has subsequently swapped places with Cripps on the leaderboard.
Adelaide's Ben Keays was the only player to join Sheezel in earning a perfect 10 votes across Round 19, while six players polled nine votes to fall just short of the mark.
Western Bulldogs duo Adam Treloar and Rory Lobb both managed five, and four-vote nods from the coaches, as did Fremantle pair Andrew Brayshaw and Caleb Serong.
Brisbane midfielder Hugh McCluggage polled nine votes in the win over Sydney and was one of just five players to poll in that match.
