Geelong have added to their off-season list cuts, with project ruckman Joe Furphy not offered a new deal for the 2025 season.
Furphy joined the Cats over a year ago as a category B rookie following a promising junior basketball career, with the 25-year-old adding to Geelong's ruck stocks.
The 205cm talent played 10 VFL games during his sole year at Kardinia Park, including a 56-hitout performance against North Melbourne in July.
Geelong confirmed the decision to delist Fuprhy on Tuesday as the club finalised its list plans ahead of next month's AFL Draft.
"We have enjoyed having Joe as part of our football program in 2024, he is a quality person and we wish him all the best in the future," Cats football boss Andrew Mackie said.
Furphy's departure sees the uncapped ruckman join Gary Rohan, Brandan Parfitt, Mitch Hardie, James Willis, Oscar Murdoch, Phonix Foster and Emerson Jeka in being cut by the Cats this off-season.
Geelong has also bid farewell to premiership pair Tom Hawkins and Zach Tuphy to retirement, while the club acquired Western Bulldogs midfielder Bailey Smith via a trade last week.
The Cats hold selections 45, 57 and 75 for the 2024 National Draft.
