Geelong have announced the re-signing of young gun Brandon Parfitt.

The tough midfielder has penned a two-year extension, tying him to the club until the end of 2023.

The 22-year old is coming off a career-best season, averaging 15.5 disposals and 5.9 tackles from 18 games.

โ€œBrandan is an integral part of our future, so weโ€™re pleased to have secured him until the end of 2022,โ€ Cats General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd told the club website.

โ€œSince arriving at the club, he has developed into one of the clubโ€™s most versatile players and we are excited to see where he can take his game in the next two seasons.

โ€œBrandan displays the values we aspire to live by and is part of a nucleus of young players that represent an exciting future for the Geelong Football Club.โ€

Parfitt has played 72 AFL games since making his debut in 2017.
