Geelong have confirmed the departure of part-time ruck coach Josh Jenkins, who will continue to pursue a career in the media.
Jenkins has balanced his role at Kardinia Park with his commitments at SEN as well as Sportsbet over the past two years with the Cats.
Jenkins has taken on a variety of roles at SEN during his time with the station, including part-time hosting duties and as a member of the SEN Track team. He had also hosted an NFL podcast named The Field alongside former teammate and Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield.
In the next change of Jenkins' career, the former forward-ruck hybrid will step away from the Cats after 24 months with the club.
His departure from the Cats is the club's first coaching change since Geelong's season came to a close a month ago.
"On behalf of the Club, we would like to thank Josh for his time and his contribution to our ruck and key position players," newly-appointed Cats football boss Andrew Mackie said in a club statement.
"After arriving at the Cats as a player, Josh encapsulates what the Club is all about and we wish him the best as he continues his career in media."
The 34-year-old moved into coaching after calling time on his career with the Cats, who he played two games for over a pair of seasons.
Jenkins was traded to Geelong at the end of 2019 from Adelaide, where he would play 147 games for a return of 296 goals over an eight-year period.
The Swan Hill junior began his career at Essendon after being taken in the rookie draft, however he would switch to South Australia before playing for the Bombers.
