Geelong veteran Mark Blicavs has given little attention to the pending call on his future at Kardinia Park, with the Cats utility prioritising his football in 2025.
Blicavs has enjoyed the start to his 14th season in the blue and white hoops, given his injury-free run over the summer off the back of a 24-game campaign.
The two-time best and fairest winner is eligible for free agency this year and is one of just two Cats players able to test the open market with no restraint after star forward Jeremy Cameron recommitted last week.
Hard nut midfielder Tom Atkins is Geelong's only other free agent, while the club has also looked away Brad Close, Shannon Neale and Oliver Henry to extensions early into the new season.
Blicavs isn't expected to re-sign soon, with his focus set on seeing out a solid campaign for a contending Cats side, but he does hope to extend his tenure at the Cats.
"I'm just really focused on playing footy," he told media on Wednesday. "I'm very comfortable with where I am right now.

"I'd definitely like to go on further than this year. I've really enjoyed the pre-season, and when you're feeling really good in your body and not as injured, you enjoy football a lot more.
"I'm really enjoying it, I'm motivated, I'm loving playing with these guys. I'm not worried too much, I'm just enjoying playing footy at the moment.
"(The club and I) will chat when we need to.
"My body's feeling really good and touch wood I haven't had too many nasty injuries, and because I hadn't come from a contact sport up until 21, maybe my body's feeling a bit fresher.
"I think while I'm motivated and enjoying football and able to contribute, I'll be here. Who knows? I'm still working hard, but I think the moment I decide to take shortcuts and not prep the way I want to is probably the time I finish up, I think."
Blicavs has played 272 games for the Cats since being recruited in 2011 as a category B rookie, with the athletic tall earning All-Australian honours in his time since stepping into football.
A renewed deal would place the former steeplechaser in line to play game 300 for the club, potentially becoming the eighth Geelong player to do so - assuming Mitch Duncan features a further four times at AFL level.
The Cats also have Sam De Koning, Oliver Dempsey, Cam Guthrie, Shaun Mannagh and Rhys Stanley, among others, off-contract but not eligible for free agency in 2025.
