Welcome to the annual article that covers Geelong's reign as the best at Mad Monday - or in this case Wacky Wednesday - celebrations, and 2024 is no exception for the Kardinia Park club.
Following their narrow preliminary final loss to Brisbane on Saturday, Cats players took to the Wharf Shed on Wednesday to celebrate another deep September run.
As is traditional, players rocked up sporting funny or timely consumes as media reporters and cameras caught their entrance for a day of celebration.
This year's clubhouse leader might very well be midfielder Tanner Bruhn, who rocked red-dyed hair, a suit and a sign that read 'They won't pick him Mitch' in reference to AFL reporter Sam McClure's comments on West Coast's suspected decision to overlook eventual No.1 pick Harley Reid at the top of the draft.
Alongside teammates Mark Blicavs and Max Holmes, who were dressed as Reid and McClure's Trades Podcast co-host Mitch Cleary respectively, the gag was arguably the best from Wednesday's proceedings.
Memorable pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati was spotted twice at the Wharf Shed, with Tom Hawkins and Jake Kolodjashnij both dressing as the Frenchman.
Jeremy Cameron managed to nail the Russell Coight impression and Lawson Humphries appeared as another Australian icon in basketballer Patty Mills, while ruckman Rhys Stanley did his best to dress as retiring Irishman Zach Tuohy.
Mitch Hardie (Happy Gilmore) and Shannon Neale (Gilmore's caddy) paired up, as did draftees Connor O'Sullivan and Mitch Edwards, who dressed as Dumb and Dumber characters Lloyd and Harry.
Tom Stewart and Jack Henry appeared as Talladega Nights characters Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr, while Ollie Henry and Sam De Koning sported head-to-toe Ferrari attire after stepping out of a red sportscar.
