Geelong ruckman Toby Conway has put pen to paper and will remain in the blue and white hoops until the end of 2027.
Taken with Pick 25 in the 2021 National Draft, Conway has been developing nicely into the next club ruckman as he has been held back across the journey thus far.
Battling both injury and form, the 21-year-old has been limited to six outings but is set to play a more prominent role in the future.
He is currently sidelined with a back issue but has returned to running and progressing well through his reconditioning block, with no timeline on his return date confirmed.
"Since being drafted to Geelong, the club has been amazing, I have been surrounded by a good bunch of boys and have developed really important relationships that I will build on in the next couple of years" Conway said.
"The relationships I have built with the young boys especially and having family down the road made extending my time here an easy decision. All the coaches here are unbelievable and help you facilitate your own program in a lot of ways which suits me and how I go about it and have enjoyed every bit of my time here so far."
Geelong EGM of Football Andrew Mackie is stoked to have Conway commit to the club, noting how much he's developed since walking through the doors at GMHBA Stadium.
"Toby is an integral part of our future, his professionalism and work ethic continue to impress, and it is exciting to see him reintegrate into our football training sessions over the past week," Mackie said.
"He is a well-respected teammate and person, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his game over the next two years."
Conway joins forward trio Jeremy Cameron, Oliver Henry and Shannon Neale in re-signing this week at the club.
Cameron and Henry have been locked away, like Conway, until the end of 2027, while Neale has an additional year on top of that.
The Cats will be looking to continue their hot start to 2025 following their thrashing of Fremantle in Round 1.
Geelong will take on St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.
