Our Rookie Rankings are still welcoming fresh faces with less than a month left in the home and away season, with a Cats rookie breaking into our top eight for the first time in 2024.
Round 21's changes have seen a mature-aged Geelong recruit enter our rankings while a Lions forward jumps two spots following a strong Sunday outing.
Another Cat headlines the chasing pack with three rounds remaining as he and a Suns midfielder stand a chance to snatch a spot before the season concludes.
Selection Criteria: For our Rookie Rankings, we are ONLY selecting players who have made their debut this season.
Other players who may still be eligible for a Rising Star nomination but have already made their debut before the 2024 season will not be considered. I.e. Rising Star eligible players such as George Wardlaw, Angus Sheldrick and Sam Darcy are ineligible, having already played an AFL match before Round 1, 2024.
Honourable Mentions:
Archie Roberts (Essendon)
Will Graham (Gold Coast)
Seth Campbell (Richmond)
Darcy Jones (GWS)
6. Sam Clohesy (-1)
The Suns wingman struggled to get a look on Friday night as a travelling Gold Coast side again struggled on the road, falling to the Eagles by 10 points.
Clohesy was limited to eight disposals at Optus Stadium, his lowest tally for the year as the Eagles proved dominant on the fringes of midfield.
Both the drop in form and the performance of another have seen the Suns recruit drop one spot and come out of our top five ahead of Round 22.
The Suns and Clohesy have the chance to bounce back against Essendon this weekend, however their road trip will continue as they meet the Bombers at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.
