All-Australian small forward Tyson Stengle has re-signed at Geelong for the next five years, inking a long-term deal with the club.
Stengle - who comes out of contract as an unrestricted free agent - has had multiple clubs come hard for his services, inclusive of St Kilda and Essendon, yet has turned his back on them to remain in the white and blue hoops.
The 2022 premiership player has extended his time at the Cats until the end of 2029 and has established himself as one of the premier forwards in the competition.
Geelong Cats General Manager of Football Andrew Mackie said he was excited Stengle had decided to commit to the Club.
“We are thrilled Tyson has recommitted to the Cats. Tyson continues to show his talent and brilliance on-field and we look forward to watching him continue to flourish as a person and footballer," Mackie said.
“He is much loved by his teammates and the broader Club, and we love what he contributes to our football program.

Channel 7's Mitch Cleary believes Stengle is on a deal worth around $3.5 million dollars across the five seasons.
Cleary also reported that St Kilda offered $4.5 million for six years.
The re-signing comes as the club bounced back against Essendon after a disappointing patch of form.
It is a significant win for new football boss Andrew Mackie who has kept Stengle, Sam De Koning and Max Holmes despite rival interest in the Cats' young stars.
Mackie's attention will turn to landing Western Bulldogs midfielder Bailey Smith, who is still recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
