The Gold Coast Suns' season is back on track after securing consecutive wins during the club's annual trip to the Northern Territory.
However, the Suns will be feeling the crunch on their injury list with five key players left battered and bruised.
Key forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan was a late out for Friday night's match against Port Adelaide with an ankle concern, while Ethan Read (knee) and Ben Long (ankle) suffered injuries the week prior.
Adding to the injury toll were Will Graham (concussion) and Lachie Weller (hamstring), who both failed to finish the match against the Power.
Speaking after the Suns' 25-point victory, coach Damien Hardwick said the injuries shouldn't have a long-term impact on the club.
“There are some sore boys,” Hardwick said.
“We've got a reasonable injury toll coming out of the two weeks up here. We've got some sore lads, so we've got to go back and recover.
“Jamarra, he's unlucky that kid.
“His last kick at goal, the ground was a little soft, and he rolled his ankle quite significantly, so he was pretty heartbroken today when we had to rule him out.
“He'll be available to play next week as well. He and Long are probable.”
