GWS are reportedly "in advanced talks" of a contract extension for coach Adam Kingsley, potentially locking him away for a further two years at the harbour city, according to chief Channel 7 reporter Mitch Cleary.

Currently signed until 2025, the deal could see Kingsley remain at the Giants until 2027, rewarding a successful start to his coaching career.

Beginning his tenure with just four wins from 12 matches in 2023, Kingsley's men exploded in the back half of the season with seven wins in a row before a thrilling finals campaign was stopped just one point short of a Grand Final berth.

2024 has been a mixed season so far, starting 5-0 before tapering away to 8-7 and a ladder spot outside the eight.

A convincing performance against flag fancy Carlton may have reignited the orange tsunami made famous through the the last 18 months and has seemingly strengthened Kingsley security at GWS further.

Meetings with Richmond, Gold Coast at home, Melbourne and Hawthorn present four winnable clashes on the road to September, where the Giants will look to go at least one kick better than last year.
