GWS draftee Conor Stone will make his AFL debut in Saturday's clash against Collingwood.

The Giants confirmed in a statement on Friday morning that the youngster would get his first senior opportunity.

The youngster was drafted to the club with Pick 15 in last year's draft and will don Jeremy Cameron's old No. 18.

It comes amid a horrid injury toll at Western Sydney, with Stephen Coniglio, Phil Davis and Matt de Boer all set for long stints on the sidelines after going down last weekend.

Earlier this week Davis described Stone as one of the neatest players at the club and believes his hard-working attitude will hold him in good stead.

โ€œHeโ€™s super polite, got a very โ€˜short back and sidesโ€™ haircut and the personality to match,โ€ Davis said on his podcast.

โ€œHeโ€™s organised, polite and well mannered.

โ€œI think one of his best traits is heโ€™s very coachable and he wants to get better and improve and if youโ€™ve got that kind of appetite then the world is generally your oyster.โ€

Stone will be GWS' third debutant this season, joining Tanner Bruhn and Matt Flynn.

The Giants will be looking to get their first win on the board in 2021 when they meet the Pies at the MCG on Saturday night at 7.25pm AEST.
