Giants utility Lachie Keeffe has signed on with the Giants on a two-year deal.

Keeffe, who has played in a variety of positions for the Giants over the course of the season, will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2021 season, having originally joined GWS as a delisted free agent in 2017.

The 29-year-old played 40 games at Collingwood before continuing his career at the Giants, where Keeffe has played 16 games this season.

The Giants big man says he is thrilled and grateful to be able to extend his tenure at the club.

“I’ve loved my time at the Giants so far and I’m really excited to continue at the club for at least another two years,” Keeffe told the club website.

“The club gave me a second chance and I’m looking to repay that faith that they’ve shown in me.

“I really enjoy living in Sydney and I’ve made some great friendships here at the Giants.”

GWS List Manager Jason McCartney said that Keeffe's ability to adapt and play in multiple roles around the ground has made him an important re-signing to the club.

“Lachie’s shown over the course of his two seasons at the Giants that he can play pretty much anywhere, which is a great asset,” he said.

“He’s become a real leader to our young players both on and off the field and acts as on-field coach when required to those still finding their way.

“He’s a popular member of our group and we’re delighted that he’ll continue in orange for a at least a couple more years.”

He joins a list of Giants to extend their stays with the club, following the re-signings of the likes of Josh Kelly, Nick Haynes, Jacob Hopper earlier in the year.
