Gold Coast have reportedly permitted contracted forward Jack Lukosius to explore options elsewhere this off-season, with a move back to South Australia potentially on the cards.
While Lukosius is signed at Carrara until the end of 2026, the former Pick 2 selection's future has been viewed as unclear as he looks to battle for a spot in Damien Hardwick's side.
Lukosius was recently dropped from the Suns' AFL side before returning for their final game of the 2024 season, sparking further speculation around his future.
A product of SANFL side Woodville-West Torrens, Lukosius is expected to have interest from both Adelaide and Port Adelaide, who he has reportedly met with in recent weeks.
According toย 9 News'ย Tom Morris, Lukosius was told by Gold Coast in his exit interview that he would be allowed to push for a trade this year if he can find a suitable landing spot.
It is understood that the Suns remain open to keeping Lukosius if a deal can't get done with another club.
The door is ajar for Jack Lukosius to seek a trade away from the @GoldCoastSUNS with two years remaining on his contract.
In his exit meeting today he was given permission to do what's best for his career & if that means exploring a move, so be it.

Clubs in Victoria could throw their hat into the ring, however the Crows and Power will have a strong attraction for Lukosius, who is close friends with Port Adelaide captain Connor Rozee as well as ex-teammate and Crows star Izak Rankine.
Adelaide are already facing a busy window, with wantaway Demons forward Alex Neal-Bullen expected to make his way to West Lakes, while Port Adelaide are in a race against their state rivals for the services of GWS free agent Isaac Cumming.
The Suns will also need to settle a number of list matters over the coming months outside of Lukosius' future, with Richmond gun Daniel Rioli and Collingwood's John Noble both said to be seeking moves north to the Gold Coast.
The Queensland club has the trade capital to please both the Tigers and Magpies, holding Picks 6, 13, 20, 26, 34, 46 and 70. They will need to make sure they hold the required draft points tally to match a bid for potential top 10 draft selection Leonardo Lombard in November.
