The Gold Coast Suns are confident in regaining Ben Ainsworth and Ben Long for Round 10's clash against Brisbane, hoping to claim their fifth win of the season.
Ainsworth has missed Gold Coast's last two matches after suffering a corked quad, but will be available for selection for the Q Clash after recovering well.
The 25-year-old has played seven matches for the Suns so far this year, averaging 16.9 disposals per game and kicking seven goals.
Gold Coast are also expecting that Ben Long will feature in the Saturday night clash after the young Sun missed last week with back soreness.
“Ben Ainsworth missed the last two matches with a corked quad which progressed well following the two weeks rest, he will be available for selection this Saturday against Brisbane,” Gold Coast physio Lindsay Bull said.
“Ben Long pulled up sore following a strong tackle late in the Round 8 loss to Melbourne and subsequently missed the match against the Eagles, however he will also be available for selection this weekend.”
Elsewhere at the Suns, Nick Holman remains a chance to return from a toe injury for his first match since Round 7 but will need to pass a fitness test, while Connor Blakely remains sidelined with a calf complaint.
