Gold Coast will sweat on scans on spearhead forward Ben King after he injured his knee at training on Saturday.
Despite the club enjoying a week off due to the mid-season bye, the Suns still had training and were given a massive scare.
King - who has a history of knee injuries - went down during the session according to SEN'sย Sam Edmund.
Big injury scare at Gold Coast today with Ben King going down with a knee injury at training this morning. The initial testing indicates the ACL is intact, but the forward is undergoing scans today to be certain. @1116sen

It is understood that King has been cleared of any major damage, resulting in some bone bruising and could be available for next week's clash with Fremantle.
King, who's made a splash at the expansion club since joining as Pick 6 in the 2018 National Draft, missed the entire 2022 season with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Returning for the majority of last year's campaign, the 23-year-old was pulled from the final three games of the year due to swelling on his knee.
However, King has returned in career-best form to date, slotting 38 goals in 13 matches, going goalless once in 2024.
The Victorian also committed to the Suns earlier this year, penning an extension to the end of 2026.
Gold Coast sit just outside the eight.
