Tom Green has usurped Matt Rowell atop the Zero Hanger MVP leaderboard with a typical 34 touches and six tackles in Perth, taking his tally to 49 votes from three games.

A whopping six perfect pollers lit up the competition over the weekend, starting on Thursday night with Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera's ball-using clinic against the 2024 surprise packet 0-3 Magpies.

Lifted through the midfield by Mitch Owens, Marcus Windhager, Jack Steele and Rowan Marshall, Wanganeen-Milera's 32 disposals and 20 effective kicks cut ribbons through Collingwood's defence all night and was pivotal to St Kilda's first win of the year.

This performance was swiftly topped the following night by Tom Stewart's defensive clinic against the Crows - gobbling a record-equaling 10 intercept marks to go with 28 touches and over 600 metres gained, as well as a near mark-of-the-year contender in the 150th game of his illustrious career thus far.

Luke Jackson shot up the leaderboard with his perfect 20 against North Melbourne, doing a bit of everything with 24 disposals, two goals, 21 hitouts and five tackles, helped by another 35 touches for Caleb Serong in Freo's 26-point win.

Christian Petracca was the next consensus best on ground with his 29 disposals, one goal and 11 score involvements setting up Bayley Fritsch, Kysaiah Pickett and the like in Melbourne's 55-point dispatching of Hawthorn.

Tom Papley was similarly dynamic against the Bombers and a matchup nightmare through the midfield and up forward with four goals, 24 touches and 10 marks.

He, Isaac Heeney, Errol Gulden and Chad Warner continued their fine form as Sydney rise up the premiership contender ranks after three games.

Cody Weightman's six goals against an in-form Suns outfit gave him equal top-vote honours alongside skipper Marcus Bontempelli, who enjoyed two majors himself from 32 disposals.

Midfield maestro Zak Butters did what he wanted on Sunday afternoon at the MCG, collecting 34 disposals at an 86% clip with 13 score involvements in Port Adelaide's five-goal win over Richmond.

MVP front-runner Tom Green capped off the weekend with top-vote honours against the Eagles while teammates Sam Taylor, Kieren Briggs, Lachie Whitfield and many more had their say in a comfortable win for the Giants.
